Questions

The eight questions we answer before a first order.

Written the way we would answer them on WhatsApp — short, and without a number we cannot hold in production.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One piece on stock colours, five pieces per style on custom dyeing. A first order is often smaller than a repeat order — tell us the size you plan to hold and we will quote against it. Different constructions are quoted separately.

Do you provide samples before a bulk order?

Yes. Where the specification needs to be felt rather than read, we send a sample piece before the run. The sample is quoted as part of the order, and the specification you approve is the specification we make.

Is your hair European or Chinese?

Both, in separate lines that are never mixed. Slavic / Russian hair and Chinese picked hair are priced differently and behave differently. The tier is named on the specification sheet that ships with the order — see the hair and origin page for the full comparison.

Is your sheitel kosher, and do you provide rabbinic certification?

A supervising rabbi inspects the raw hair on the sorting floor and the finished pieces before packing. Photographs of a recent inspection are published on the Kosher page. Kosher status still depends on the documentation for the specific order, so tell us what your community requires before production and we will confirm in writing what can be provided. We do not describe an order as certified unless the paperwork for that order supports it.

How long does production and shipping take?

Custom production runs 40–60 days from approval of the specification sheet. Stock colours move faster, and a measured cap or a new dye lot sits at the longer end. Freight is quoted door-to-door and transit is confirmed per order, because it changes with route and season.

Do you ship to the United States, Israel and the United Kingdom?

Yes — those are our three main markets. We use express courier and air freight, quoted door-to-door, with duties and taxes shown as a separate line so your landed cost is visible before you commit.

Who pays duties and import taxes?

That is agreed on the quotation. We can quote DDP (duties included in our price) or DAP (duties paid by you on arrival). Ask for both if you are comparing suppliers, because the cheaper unit price is often the DAP one.

What payment methods do you accept?

PayPal and bank transfer. Terms are confirmed on the quotation before production starts.

Silk top or lace top — which should I stock?

Silk top if your clients part their hair or want a hairline that reads as skin: the knots sit under the silk. Lace top if you want a lighter, more breathable cap at a lower cost, and your clients do not inspect the parting closely. Most counters carry both.

Which density should I specify?

130% reads natural on fine hair and thin on coarse hair; 150% is the volume most counters sell; 180% is a statement piece. Specify per client rather than per order, and keep the density your account sells most as the default.

Which cap sizes do you make, and can you fit to measurements?

Standard S / M / L, plus measured caps. Send the measurements you work to — crown circumference, front-to-nape and ear-to-ear — and we cut to them. If a client sits between sizes, tell us on the sheet.

Can you produce under our own label?

Yes. Private label covers your label, your packaging and your size chart. The specification is fixed in writing first, so the second run matches the first.

How do you handle colour matching between orders?

A reorder is made to the approved specification sheet. If the dye lot will not match the previous batch, we say so before production rather than after delivery — that conversation is cheaper for both of us.

What happens if the size or colour is wrong when it arrives?

Report it as soon as it arrives and we will confirm the remedy in writing before anything is returned. Cap-size errors have been corrected after the order was already arranged — see Sandrine's review on the buyer reviews page.

How long does a sheitel last?

It depends on the construction, the density and how often it is worn. A hand-tied piece worn daily will outlast a lighter wefted piece; a low density worn occasionally will outlast both. We will tell you what to expect for the specification you are buying rather than quote a single number for the whole catalogue.

Can I mix constructions in one order?

Yes. Orders are built line by line — a lace top run in three colours and two silk tops in one colour is a normal first order. Each line carries its own specification sheet.

Can you send real photos or video before shipping?

Yes. Before dispatch we can send photos of the finished piece against its specification, so you know what is in the box before it clears customs.

Can we visit the factory?

Yes, by arrangement. Tell us the dates and what you want to see — the sorting room, the ventilating benches or the finishing line — and we will plan the visit around production rather than around a showroom.
